I have combined my love of nature, wildlife and birds with my passion for photography. There is a sense of freedom being in the great outdoors. In addition, studies show there are health benefits to spending time in nature, including helping to reduce stress, strengthen the immune system, and helping you to age less painfully. Many days I am out the door at sunrise, returning at sunset, capturing the day one image at a time. I find that these images lift my spirits on the days that I am not outdoors. I am so excited to share these images with you.
My mission is to bring a smile to your face when you look at my images. And
to help create a greater awareness of how important our furry and feathered friends are. I love the quote by AD Williams "When I look into the eyes of an animal. I do not see an animal. I see a living being. I see a friend. I feel a soul." I hope these images help you feel the same. I hope they inspire you to spend more time outdoors and to care about our beautiful planet. I hope these images bring you joy.
I remember the first time I developed an image in a dark room. (many years ago) I was immediately captivated by the process. Having a camera with me just seemed natural. I loved everything from taking the shot to looking at the images over and over. Reliving the experience of that moment. Over time, I have combined my love of the great outdoors with my desire to take photographs. I love capturing my subjects in their natural habitat. I love being in the natural surroundings that these magnificent creatures call home. Always respectful that I am just a visitor and that their safety is most important.
